In 2017, Tom Holland also became the second-youngest person to receive the BAFTA Rising Star Award at the age of twenty years.

The announcement of Tom Holland being a part of the MCU took place on 23rd June 2015. Here he was cast as a Teenage Peter Parker. This contract was a six-picture deal with marvel studios. He first appeared as spiderman in the film Captain America: Civil War in 2016. This film was a huge critical as well as commercial success. And it grossed over $1.1 billion in the world box office. And this also made it the highest-grossing film in 2016. Holland also gained a lot of recognition for this film. Then in July 2017, Spiderman: Homecoming was released. In this film, the role of Spiderman from Captain America: Civil war revived. The film also got immense recognition and positive reviews. And grossed over $800 million in the world box office. Holland also received a lot of positive reviews for his work in this film. And this is when he was given the praise “a star performance was given by a born actor.” This role also got Holland the title of the youngest actor to play a title role in MCU in the Guinness Book of World Records. He also played Spiderman in Avengers: Infinity War which was released on 27 April 2018. And also in that film’s sequel, Avengers: Endgame, which was released on 26 April 2019. The shooting for the sequel Spiderman: Far from Home commenced in July 2018, and it wrapped in October. The film was released on 2nd July 2019. Tom Holland’s Future in MCU
After the release of the title for the upcoming Spiderman Film Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holand has now revealed his position in the MCU as a superhero. As this film is the last one on his contract with MCU.His future in MCU is quite uncertain. Tom revealed the news of the end of his contract with Marvel and Sony live entertainment after the new spiderman movie in an interview with Collider. He has also expressed his wish to continue playing this iconic superhero. The actor said, No way Home is the last film in his contract, and he has always said to them that if they want him back, he will be there in a heartbeat. Tom further mentioned that he has loved being a part of this amazing world as it has changed his life for the better, and he is lucky to be there. He also said that if they want him back, he will be there. He also mentioned that if the company doesn’t want him anymore, he will walk away, keeping all the valuable experiences in his heart. “If they don’t, I will walk off into the sunset a very, very happy person because it’s been an amazing journey.” Currently, there is no guarantee whether we will see more of Tom as Spiderman or not.
