An anime adaptation of the game was announced by Netflix. Six months later, Netflix has finally announced some exciting details about the upcoming anime series, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. For those who were anticipating these details, here is everything you need to know about the Netflix original, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness – Teaser Trailer
The trailer was released in September 2020. In the trailer, we see Claire Redfield opening a wooden door. The wooden cabinet seems completely dark and her flashlight seems like the only source of light. There are some metallic tubes spread over the floor (Could this be the T-Virus?). This is followed by a zombie taking over the camera followed by a gunshot. The scene changes to Leon, who is aiming at someone on the floor. The trailer has enough eerie vibe to it to gather high expectations from the series. Unlike live-action movies, animated movies have always been a fan’s priority. A lot of people are highly excited about the upcoming movie. The art looks quite fine and well done. The CGI looks realistic too. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will probably provide the viewers with a completely realistic account of zombies.
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness– Release Date
The commotion has been high and Netflix is doing a great job hyping up the fans. Although a lot of details have been revealed, the release date is yet to be announced. However, there are a few things that have been confirmed. The series will release in 2021, with the 25th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise. The animation will be done by Quebico. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness – Plot Summary
Netflix recently revealed the plot summary of the upcoming anime series. Evidently, the series is a prequel to the sixth Resident Evil movie, which was set in 2013. The series will take us back to 2006. The first half of the plot gives us a brief preview of Leon. The FBI agent is leading a SWAT team to the White House to investigate some improperly accessed Presidential Files. They encounter a zombie attack when all the lights of the White House go down. In the second half of the plot, we are introduced to Claire Redfield, a member of TerraSave. She is looking after refugees somewhere else in the country. Claire comes across a drawing that was made by someone who was infected. For reasons unknown, she finds it important to investigate the case. She then visits the White House where she meets Leon. Finding a good opportunity, she shows him the drawing but he denies having any information. However, it seems like Leon knows more than claims but prefers to keep quiet. The plot indicates a connection between two zombie attacks in different areas: one that took place in the White House and the other that took place in the victim’s area who was the original owner of the drawing. The plot ends with: The plot sounds pretty interesting. Although a bit bland, it has quite a set of interesting questions emerging from it. Why was Claire so interested in the drawing? What does Leon know? Why did he hide it from Claire? What event would follow these consecutive attacks? The only way to know the answers is by streaming the series on Netflix after its release!
