He was the first All-American team member of the team Michigan Wolverines as a college basketball player. In the year 1991, he leads the team, and it was also called Fab Five. This team reached the 1992 and 93 NCCA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship games by freshman and sophomores. He is also a former National High School Basketball Player and is currently an on-air commentary for NBA games. To top this up, he is also a university professor and teaches at Wake Forest University and Morehouse College. Webber was born on the 1st of March 1973 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Mayce and Doris Webber. His father was a factory worker in a Detroit General Motors plant and also worked double shifts sometimes to ensure that his children could have clothes that fit. Webber had four other siblings growing up. Chris was an early and promising basketball talent. While he was in eighth grade, he scored 64 points and also had 15 dunks. At the time when he started his high school basketball career. His father took a decision that displeased him. He sent him to the Detroit Country Day High School, which was located in an upscale suburb of Birmingham. He took him out of the Public school that he used to attend. The reason for this was In a sports magazine Interview, he told them that he originally wanted to go to the Southwestern where his friend Jalen Rose played, but his father believed that he could do well in basketball. And he also wanted him to have a proper and good education. Which is why he took that step. Like all the other famous personalities, even Chris doesn’t talk much about his dating life. He is married to Erika Dates. The couple is also blessed with two kids who are twins. He also has a hobby of collecting American-African artifacts. High school career
As a high school student Webber attended the Detroit Country Day School from the year 1987 to 91. During his high school days, the most recruited high school basketball player was Magic Johnson. Webber has led his high school in three MHSAA State Championships. And later as a senior in high school, he had an average of 29.4 points and 13 rebounds per game. He also had the nickname Michigan’s Mr, Basketball and was also the National High School player of the year from the year 1990 to 1991. In both the Dapper Dan All-Star games and McDonald’s, he was named the MVP.
