This is an upcoming documentary coming soon on Netflix. This documentary is an investigation behind the mastermind who was responsible for the notoriously famous Operation varsity scam. A scam where admission was made possible in an illegal way for the rich kids of and famous families into top US universities.
The investigation happened in 2019. and the investigation was given a code name of Operation varsity scam. Although we have said that this article was about movies, we are including this Documentary because we all know how great the production quality of Netflix Documentaries is, for those who don’t know, watch The Social Dilemma, available on Netflix. This Netflix documentary is releasing on March 17th.
3. The Trail Of The Chicago 7
The Trial of the Chicago 7 is a 2020 American historical legal drama film. This film is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin with the film revolving around Chicago Seven. This is a story about a group of anti–Vietnam War protesters who were charged with conspiracy and crossing state lines. With a pretty good cast as Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sacha Baron Cohen, Daniel Flaherty, Frank Langella, John Carroll Lynch, Eddie Redmayne, Noah Robbins, Mark Rylance, Alex Sharp, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, and Jeremy Strong. Director Aaron Sorkin was able to present a pretty great movie for the viewers, where the screenplay was also written by him.
The movie was initially planned to release in the theaters by Paramount Pictures was later released on Netflix due to the ongoing Pandemic. With that, the movie was given a limited release in theaters and later on Netflix. With the movie available to be streamed on the platform, many were able to watch the movie, thus the movie god wide appreciation from both critiques and viewers. 4. Uncorked
Uncorked is another drama film released on Netflix recently. This film was written and directed by Prentice Penny. with the story revolving around Elijah, the son of Louis and Sylvia, both are running their family’s local Barbeque restaurant. While Louis is in the hopes of Elijah taking over the business someday, Elijah has no such interest in managing the restaurant. When Elijah told his wish to become a master sommelier to Tanya, she encouraged him to pursue his dream. With that keeping in mind, he works for the entrance exam and succeeds, thus earning admittance to a sommelier school.
At the time when the class was invited to an exchange program in Paris, Elijah got support from his classmate Harward for the exchange program as Elijah couldn’t afford that. While in Paris, Elijah gets the news regarding Sylvia’s cancer, but he asked him to stay in France and even sent him some money for the expenses there. Unfortunately, Sylvia dies and Elijah had to come back to his place leaving his studies. The story moves forward from this place, and we suggest you watch the film to know what happened in the rest of the movie. The movie has the cast of Mamoudou Athie, Courtney B. Sentinelle is one among them. this 2021 French movie is an action thriller film directed by Julien Leclercq, based on the script written by Julien Leclercq and Matthieu Serveau.
After the injuries caused by involving in a combat mission, the protagonist has sent back to her home. But she isn’t going to get rest. When reaching home, she realized that her sister was attacked by someone, and she sets off to hunt down the man who hurt her sister. 6. Yes Day
How about watching a comedy movie? Yes Day is for you then. It is an American comedy film coming on March 12th of this year to Netflix. Directed by Miguel Arteta on the screenplay and screen story by Justin Malen, this movie is based upon the children’s book of the same name, which was written by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld. And with the cast starring Jennifer Garner, Edgar Ramírez, and Jenna Ortega. When realizing that they were always saying NO to their kids and co-workers, Allison and Carlos decided to change this. And they decided to give their three kids a YES DAY as a solution for them always saying No. On this Yes Day, kids get the power to decide rules for the entire 24 hours of that day. But they never knew what was coming around.
There was a whirlwind of adventures awaiting for them in the city of Los Angeles and it did bring the family closer to each other than ever before. This movie has a total duration of nearly an hour and a half. if you are interested in movies that are based on books, you should watch Yes Day
7. Mariposa
Speaking of Comedy movies, we also have Romantic Comedy movies on this list. The next entrant in this list is Mariposa. Directed by Sajar Bustomi, this story is around the relationship between Acha and Iqbal. Acha is a new student who falls for Iqbal, who is a high-achieving student while he’s torn between love and family pressure. The movie is nearly two hours long with the cast including Adhisty Zara, Angga Yunanda, Dannia Salsabila, who living through their respective characters on the screen, this movie should be on your list too.
8. The Dark Knight
Sequel to the movie Batman Begins, The Dark Knight is a 2008 superhero film directed, produced, and co-written by Christopher Nolan, which was based on the DC Comics character Batman. This film was another addition to “The Dark Knight Trilogy”, which is still one of the best superhero trilogy movies ever made. In this movie, we could see Batman being more of the Batman from what he was in the Batman Begins. He forms an alliance with the Police Lieutenant James Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent to dismantle organized crime in Gotham City. But this alliance was soon broken by but is menaced by an anarchistic mastermind known as The Joker.
Joker was successful enough to give tough competition to the fighter in the darkness. He was successful enough to make huge losses for both Batman and Bruce Wayne. Throughout the movie, we could see how Joker uses his strategies to weaken Batman and make him reach a point where he couldn’t do anything about it. The movie not only had a great storyline, but also included great casts such as Christian Bale and supported by Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie GyllenhaalHeath Ledger, and Morgan Freeman. Where we could also see Heath’s Joker performing his best.
9. Pagglait
Now as we have talked about films from industries outside of Hollywood, we have more than one. This time here is another movie and from different film industry. And this time it’s coming from Bollywood, one of the largest film industries in the world. Pagglait is a comedy-drama film originally made in the Hindi Language. This film is written and directed by Umesh Bist, features Sanya Malhotra, Shruti Sharma, Ashutosh Rana, and Raghubir Yadav in the lead roles. The story is about a young widow who learns how to free her crazy. and face the family and at last, find herself. This upcoming movie is scheduled to be released on 2021 March 26th on Netflix.
10. Indoo Ki Jawani
For those who love Bollywood movies, we have more on this list. Indoo Ki Jawani, which in translation means The youthfulness of Indhu, another Hindi-language movie available to watch on Netflix. Directed by Abir Sengupta, the film has Kiara Advani and Aditya Seal as the leads. The movie’s production was halted when the world was hit by the recent Pandemic and when went to lockdown. When the lockdown restrictions were lowered, the movie got back on to production and completed the shooting.
