Episode 2 for Attack on Titan Season 4 is set to air on December 13, 2020, at 12:45 PM Eastern Time on Crunchyroll. Following the time difference, the episode will air on NHK Television in Japan on December 14, 2020. The title for the episode is already revealed -“Midnight Train.” Spoilers Ahead The first episode started by briefly looking back at the story that unfolded in the previous three seasons. Life for Eren Yeager and his friends changed when the 100-year long peace in their land was destroyed due to an unexpected attack. Colossal and Armoured Titans destroy the wall that keeps the cannibalizing titans away from the people that live inside the enclosure. A lot of people lose their life, including Eren’s mother, and this gave Eren the motivation to become a warrior that fights against these monsters. After 5 years of training, he is recruited into the Corps. But in another invasion, Eren finds himself against a titan, gets devoured, and transforms into a titan himself. This is when things get even crazier. Humanity finds out that humans are also capable of transforming into titans. What follows is a tale of how the titans came to be and how Eren got his powers from his father. There is also the land of Marley that exists on the other side of the walls. The armored and colossal titans, along with all the other titans, were sent from this land to wreak havoc against the kingdom.
Season 4 Episode 1 Recap
The episode moves away from its previous protagonists and starts with the Marleyan people. We are introduced to Falco, a soldier from the land of Marley seen in an intense battle. We are introduced to the soldiers from that land and their struggle in the war as their dictator leader wages wars against the neighboring countries using their titan warriors. Marley has 7 out of the 9 titans in possession, making them a formidable force. We are first introduced to Falco, among the cadets training at the frontlines. Colt is seen there among the officers. It is to be noted that these scenes take place before Reiner and the others were sent to destroy Wall Maria. Gabi is also seen in a battle scene.
Riener and Zeke came back in the story and were seen to attack the enemy forces in their titan forms. The fort falls easily as the armored and colossal titans wreak havoc against the opposing forces. It was a thrilling battle to start the new season. The next episode will move to introduce more information about the characters that were introduced here. As Maria holds the titans in their possession, the star cadets are chosen to inherit the power over time. This is where Falco and Gabi will come in later as the candidates to receive the serum.
